Why is it so hard to keep motivated?

What is wrong with me?
I really want to lose weight and I think things are going well and then something happens to kick me off track, it happens all the time and it has just happened again. Not quite the same as normal this time as I was really ill and nearly died but I'm feeling so much better and have still found it hard to get back on the Slimming World plan. I've been feeling better and started to eat again but I haven't been able to stop, in the last 2 weeks I have ate loads, I've been on a real binge. The more I eat, the more I think "oh well get it out of the way today and start a fresh tomorrow" but I never do. When you think about it losing weight is easy, eat less, eat more healthy foods and exersice more, simple right? So why can't I do it, what is wrong with me? It's not like I'm happy at this size, I HATE IT. I have goals to aim for that should keep me motivated - lose weight, fall in love, have kids. It doesn't keep me motivated though because realistically where am I going to meet someone when it's very rare I go on nights out. I know, I know I'm a lost cause ...... and I'm only 28.

1lb on but still going

1lb on this week but I’m still feeling motivated. I’m hoping the 1lb on is because I went and got weighed at the evening Slimming World group today (7.30pm) and I normally go to the morning one (9.30am) oh well we willonly know for sure next week. One way to keep me motivated is the virtual weight loss pictures I’ve done. You can’t always tell you’ve lost weight when you look in the mirror and this can be disheartening so everytime I get weighed I add a virtual picture to my Facebook account (Bex Slimming-World Journey) to help keep me motivated, hopefully it will help do the trick :-)
Today I had packet mash pizza (this weeks new meal) I really enjoyed it, it was quick to make and really cheap too :-D

6lbs lost in a week.......thank you Slimming World

Oh my gosh, I am over the moon. I had my first weigh in today (I joined last week) and I have lost 6lbs. I am so pleased. You would not believe how much pasta I have eaten this week and it still amazes me how I can lose weight. I have had a mix of Green and Extra Easy days this last week and it has obviously worked.
I will be planning my weeks menu tonight and if I can find a recipe at some point this week I'll be having chips with curry sauce, a women a group mentioned it this morning and I've not been able to stop thinking about it since mmmm curry sauce.
